Vital is looking for an organized and energetic digital marketing specialist who is eager to jump in and learn all the ins and outs of working at a fun, fast-paced creative and digital marketing agency.

As a digital marketing specialist, you will be scoping out digital marketing projects, conducting keyword research, competitor research, and assisting with digital marketing strategy for our clients. Your goal is to build strategies and scope projects that will generate more traffic, more leads, and more revenue for our clients.

Our digital marketing specialists work directly with marketing coordinators, account managers, and project managers to scope and plan projects that will help our clients meet their goals. This could be anything from:

  • Scoping blog posts, new web pages, page updates, paid media campaigns, lead nurture workflows, video projects, eBooks, webinars and other content
  • Conducting keyword research
  • Conducting competitor research
  • Increasing the number of external links to a client’s website (link building)
  • Learn and conduct strategy for SEO, CRO, email, link building and paid ads
  • Earning certifications and specializations in SEO, CRO, email, link building, and paid ads (improving your overall digital marketing knowledge)

Vital focuses on lead generation for education and B2B organizations through the acquisition of new website traffic. This most often comes in the form of organic search, and paid search. In this role, it is highly valued to have existing experience growing website traffic and leads through these digital channels.

While the account managers and strategists help lay out high-level strategies to help clients succeed, you’ll assist in creating these strategies as well as helping execute in some scenarios. You’ll be taking high level ideas, and turning them into actionable and well scoped projects. Your work will directly affect our client’s success.

Vital has a 90 day training checklist for this position to help guide education early on. In this position, you’ll be able to leverage the knowledge of other marketing strategists in this position, be involved with weekly team meetings, and develop yourself as a digital marketing professional.

Vital has incredible clients where you can directly see how your work will impact their business, and detailed reporting to measure success. When your strategies have success, you’ll know it, the client will know it; it’s a pretty rewarding feedback loop!

In this role, you will work heavily with internal team members, but you also will be able to present projects, and work with clients on a regular basis.

An Ideal Candidate Will:

Be inbound marketing certified (via HubSpot)

Have an understanding of basic digital marketing and website-building related terms and strategies like:

Blogging / Content Marketing
Search engine optimization (SEO)
Conversion rate optimization (CRO)
Link building
Email marketing
Social media marketing
Paid Media

Be proficient in Google Suite, particularly Google Docs, Sheets and Slides and more.

Have some comfort with WordPress.

Have a working knowledge of Google Analytics and how it can track and measure performance at a basic level. The ability to find trends and patterns within data is a huge plus.

Have knowledge of marketing automation tools such as HubSpot, Pardot, Marketo, Campaign Monitor, and what they do/how they work.

Have knowledge of other inbound marketing tools like Moz, HotJar, SEMRush, Sprout Social, Zapier, CallRail, MailChimp, and Opt-In Monster.

Have some experience with quality testing websites and effectively documenting issues.

Familiarity with the following programs is a plus: JIRA, Gather Content
