New Hires Kate & Tanya Offer Advice on How to Land Job at Top Digital Marketing Agency

Trust Yourself. Be Fearless and Flexible.

As the newest members of #TeamVital, Senior Graphic Designer Tanya Higgins and Senior Project Manager Kate Biddle offered up the above advice for like minded professionals looking to join the ranks of a top digital marketing agency like Vital.

As seasoned veterans in their respective fields — and now senior Vitalians in the Design and Accounts Departments — both Kate and Tanya certainly know what it takes to earn a spot at a top digital marketing agency. But in addition to offering some sage advice, let’s tell you a little bit more about our latest and greatest new employees.

Tanya Higgins – Sr. Graphic Designer

“Trust yourself and your design decisions, there is far too much second guessing when you are new to the field.”

Over the last four years Tanya has worked to master her skills in Web/UI and brand design, both of which she believes have helped her develop an eye for pixel perfection. Tanya prides herself on being an innovator in the design field—bringing creativity and problem solving skills to every project. Her vast skill set has allowed her to work with such major clients as MENTOR, Kepware, Community Coffee and Cybex. Tanya’s favorite aspect of her job is not only creating functional and user-friendly designs, but also getting a chance to see her efforts come to life. She loves to learn and evolve—kind of like a Pokémon.

As an outgoing person who loves to make people laugh, Tanya considers herself to be “Apple’s Biggest Fan” and will routinely find herself crying with joy during the company’s keynote events. She loves horror movies and diet coke, and is the proud parent of a 75-pound-ish pet tortoise named “Tiki,” along with 4 Chihuahuas, 2 geckos and 2 sugar gliders.

Kate Biddle – Sr. Project Manager

“It’s important to be flexible, and to be able to think on your feet and problem solve, and to not be afraid to ask questions and be honest.”

As an industry veteran with vast experience working in departments such as Account Services, Strategy and Project Management, Kate has spent the past 20 years working with major clients like Comcast Spotlight, Comcast Security, Penn Foster, The National Mentoring Partnership, Cybex, Connected-IQ and Exeter Hospital.

Kate loves being a project manager because she loves being organized. She also enjoys it because it allows her to have her hands in all aspects of a project—from the early stages of project definition, strategy and scoping, to the finishing touches of deployment or release.

Kate is a proud resident of Rye and is a big fan of getting to breathe in the salty ocean air each and every day. When not at work, Kate can be found out on a run, at the gym or spending time with her husband and two children on bike rides, hikes, at the beach or skiing.
