Web Developer Matt Chase & User Experience Geek Marc Frechette Join Vital!

User Experience Specialist Marc Frechette and Lead Web Developer Matt Chase

Team Vital just keeps getting stronger. More versatile. More experienced. #TeamVital recently welcomed UX geek Marc Frechette and legendary web developer Matt Chase to our roster of Vitalians, making us all experience great joy.

Matt Chase, Lead Web Developer

Matt Chase AvatarIn a related development, Matt Chase has joined Vital as Lead Developer.

A self-described “professional nerd” (Twitter) whose previous job involved “inventing the digital future” (LinkedIn), Matt grew up in Farmington, NH, and launched his web development career while still in high school.

Since then, he has distinguished himself as a talented front-end and full-stack (both back-end and front-end) developer, having also worked at New Hampshire digital agencies wedü and SilverTech, and more recently as UX Engineer at Modus Associates in New York City.

Earlier in his career, Matt spent several years teaching a computer class for elementary school students, an experience that bolstered his knack for “explaining complex technical concepts” to people who are not technical wizards. Little-known fact: During his time in the classroom he created a video game/learning tool called Bill the Robot. Not surprising, since his passion for programming was fueled by an early (and ongoing) fascination with playing and creating video games.

As a co-founder (with fellow Vitalian Sean Dempsey) of the Front End Rally meetup group, Matt’s pastimes include facilitating discussions about “the latest and greatest technology, techniques and workflows” shaping the ever-widening world of the World Wide Web. His specialties include not just writing great code, but helping individuals and teams write better code. A win-win experience, you might say.

Marc Frechette, Digital Marketing & UX (User Experience) Manager

Marc FrechetteSpeaking of experience, user experience specialist Marc Frechette brings life experience, agency experience and military experience to his new role as Digital Marketing and UX Manager.

An Air Force veteran and self-described “digital marketing geek” (his handle on most social media platforms is “DigitalMktgGeek“), Marc is fascinated by the intersections between storytelling, technology and human behavior.

Some of his own recent human behavior has included digital agency work at Manchester, NH companies SilverTech and wedü. His lengthy rap sheet of core competencies includes everything from inbound marketing, multichannel advertising and SEO to web builds, marketing automation, Google Analytics and AdWords.

A New Hampshire native with a BA from Rivier University in Nashua, Marc began his career in communications as a Radio and Television Broadcaster in the United States Air Force (where his original training was in Explosives Ordnance Disposal).

Along with a heavy emphasis on user experience (UX), Marc’s work at Vital will include managing targeted Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising campaigns for clients and a broad range of digital marketing strategic initiatives. In addition to his cool new headquarters here at Vital, you can find him on Twitter and LinkedIn (all at “DigitalMktgGeek”) and also at DigitalMktgGeek.com, where he also loves to write about marketing.

Team Vital’s newest heavy hitters add even more oomph to our already potent roster of web design and digital marketing professionals. If you’re interested in life and work at Vital, pop over to our careers page and drop us a line. Want to put our collective brainpower to work for YOUR digital marketing strategy and/or web design and development needs? We’d love to talk about that as well.
