Welcoming Inbound Marketing Pros Emily Dowling & Sarah Brady to #TeamVital!

inbound marketing pros Emily and Sarah

Vital is very happy to welcome two inbound marketing pros to our team — Emily Dowling and Sarah Brady! As our inbound marketing department grows, we’ve been keeping our eye out for the very best and brightest marketers to help us grow our team and better serve our awesome clients. Emily and Sarah have the skills, experience and passion for great digital marketing that showed us that they were already Vitalians at heart.

But beyond their stellar qualifications and professionalism, who ARE Emily and Sarah, really? Let’s find out:

Emily Dowling joins us as a Senior Inbound Consultant. A native of the Seacoast, she grew up in New Hampshire and then headed south to study communications at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. While she loved the area — and the weather — her New England roots called her to move back to the Northeast. She decided to land first in Boston, where she worked for a few years in the educational and student travel industry. This is where Emily’s love of marketing really began, with hands-on experience in digital marketing, social media, email and content marketing. Unable to resist a return to the Seacoast, Emily moved back to Portsmouth in 2014, where she worked at a local digital marketing agency in a client-facing role as an Account Manager. She is excited to join Vital on our inbound marketing team, where she’ll be working directly with clients and guiding their inbound marketing strategies.

One of Emily’s biggest passions is travel, and her ultimate goal is to make it to all seven continents (four down, three to go!). She has travelled to Peru, Australia, Mexico, France, Spain and Italy, and will soon be headed to Nicaragua. A huge foodie, Emily loves checking out all the delicious restaurants in downtown Portsmouth. She also loves checking out shows and listening to live music (something Portsmouth is never short on!), heading to the beach, going for a drive on the Seacoast, running, practicing barre pilates and hiking in the summer. She recently started working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and has a little sister who she’s been paired with for about 6 months now.

Sarah Brady grew up in Cohasset, MA, a small coastal town about 45 minutes south of Boston. She started college at James Madison in Virginia and then moved back up to NH, to continue her education at UNH. At UNH, she studied English/Journalism, worked at The New Hampshire as the news editor and fell in love with the Seacoast. After graduating from UNH, she moved around from Charlestown to Providence, RI, to the North End of Boston and back to the South Shore, before finally making it back to New Hampshire in August 2014, where she plans to stay. She worked for a small hedge fund in Boston and spent several years at State Street Global Advisors on the content marketing team, and then worked in marketing at Liberty Mutual before joining the Vital inbound team as our Inbound Content Manager.

Sarah is on the board of directors for SATYA (Seacoast Area of Teachers of Yoga in Action) which brings yoga to underserved populations throughout the Seacoast. She is very interested in human rights work and how yoga and mind body medicine can heal people and communities. Outside of work, in addition to keeping up with her 7-year-old son, Brady, Sarah loves yoga, music, reading and being outdoors — skiing, hiking, beaching and traveling — and is enjoying being back in Portsmouth. It’s also important to note that she has a thing for avocados; she adds them to everything and has one a day. Sarah is psyched to be writing full time again, and we’re psyched to have her!

You can find Sarah on Twitter at @SarahBrady316.

Please join us in heartily welcoming Emily and Sarah to Vital! We’re already impressed by their inbound marketing skills, and are looking forward to growing together!
