We spend our days at Vital handcrafting brands and websites, so we appreciate anything that has clearly been made with care, creativity and passion. That’s why we’re big fans of Etsy, the ecommerce marketplace that basically turns the Web into the world’s largest and coolest craft fair. From letterpress cards to housewares to vintage clothing, Etsy has all the cool, nifty, and beautiful goodies you need to wow everyone on your holiday shopping list. Vital’s creative folk past and present are all over Etsy, too–our project manager Lori Dennis creates custom jewelry and pet tags, while some of our graphic design alums run their own shops selling prints and more. I teamed up with Lori to create this list of our top 10 favorite Etsy stores. Happy shopping!
1. Beantown Handmade
The cutest little handknit pet accessories including dog sweaters and hats. Worth a shop visit just to see canine model Bean and his four-legged friends showing off their wares.
2. Jen Galaxy Designs
Baby shoes perfect for slipping on and running out the door. My favorite pair for my little guy is definitely the “Baby Bear Feet Baby Shoes”.
3. JL by JanetLeigh
So in love with anything monogrammed or personalized. Living on the seacoast, I have to get my hands on the initial ring with the anchor! Heart!
One word, ADORABLE. These custom nursery prints (by past Vital graphic designer Rachel!) take the cake when it comes to fabulousness! Love the nursery rhymes and custom baby announcement plaques. Perfect addition to any nursery!
5. Lofted Designs
Our very own project manager Lori Dennis makes unique handcrafted jewelry and pet tags in her spare time. Check out her bestselling “Anger Management Therapy Ring” for a laugh!
6. Miss Avocado
We just love Miss Halpin’s illustrations, plus she’s a Vital Alum. Being a huge fan of lists, the “To Do List PDF” is perfect for my ever-expanding list of items to work on.
7. Morris & Essex
Screenprinted shirts, bags, cards and more from Maine. I especially love the gorgeous selection of handprinted greeting cards.
These are brilliant! Functional pottery molded from real fruits and vegetables. They look so real! I have my eye on the “Cantaloupe Bowl Set”, but the “Watermelon Serving Bowl” is a close second.
Do you love bright, fun patterns? Then don’t miss this shop. I’m obsessed with finding the right pair of chevron curtains for my sunroom and I’ve had my eyes on Zeldabelle’s custom designs forever.
Eco-friendly print shop specializing in graphic tees, hoodies and housewares with awesome original illustrations. Winged rabbit tee? Check. Bespectacled river otter scarf? Check. So many great items you didn’t even know you needed in your life.
