They say, “good things come in threes” — well, for the third year in a row Vital has been named to the prestigious Inc. 5000, an annual listing of some of the healthiest and fastest-growing companies in the nation.
This year — with over 350% growth — we ranked #1180 on the list of 5,000 companies. You may now begin dancing like a drunk Ron Swanson, or perhaps you prefer to celebrate like cousin Carlton?
The three-peat means Vital joins an elite class of other companies throughout the U.S. to be featured multiple times — a mere 1 in 5 companies have made the list three times. In 2016, we came in at #745 on the Inc. 5000 list. The year before we were ranked #1442.

Digging deeper into this year’s recognition reveals the following factoids:
- Vital is the 2nd fastest-growing company in Portsmouth and one of five Portsmouth companies that made the list in 2017!
- Vital is the 4th fastest-growing company in New Hampshire — This year’s list consisted of 22 Granite State companies, one of which is our client, Yogibo.
- Vital is the 33rd fastest-growing company in Boston, MA — Our investment into office space on Boylston St. has certainly begun to pay off. Being among Beantown’s best means we are also in good company with another one of our favorite clients — Globalization Partners, which was named 33rd out of 5,000 on the entire list!
- Vital is the 122nd fastest-growing company in the Advertising & Marketing industry — Being in the same category as other top marketing agencies like Gimbal and Shaw & Scott.
Vital CEO Zac Gregg said earning the three-peat is gratifying to say the least, especially given how challenging it is to sustain a trajectory of growth when you’re selling a service and not a product.

The Inc. 5000 accolade comes amidst a year of incredible growth not only in terms of revenue, but also in terms of employee growth, as well as an expansion to the west coast. With already well-established operations in Boston and Portsmouth, NH (our headquarters), Vital opened its third location in 2017 in San Francisco to better service clients out west.
